DECserver 700-16 Network Access Server. The DECserver 700-16 is a high density, high performance device and remote access server that provides 16 MJ8 (RJ45) serial ports. The DECserver 700-16 serial ports support either of two sets of software-selectable four-signal modem control signals. The DECserver 700-16 has AUI and 10BaseT Ethernet connectors. The DECserver 700-16 supports up to eight sessions per port and speeds up to 115.2 Kb/s per port. The DECserver 700-16 has an external FLASH socket for the customer installable Flash card. When installed, the Flash card allows self-booting operation. The DECserver 700-16 runs DECserver Network Access Software (DNAS) that delivers multi-protocol support for TCP/IP, IPX, and AppleTalk networks. DECserver 700 units are designed for tabletop or rack-mount configuration.
