The SSR-GSX31-04 is ideally suited for high-speed collapsed backbone and server farm connections. The SSR-GSX31-04 and SSRGLX39- 04 are double-density T-Series Gigabit Ethernet modules for the X-Pedition 8000 and 8600, which provide four-port 1000Base-SX and 1000Base-LX connectivity, respectively. This switched and routed connectivity is provided via two SC interfaces; each interface can operate at half- or full-duplex mode. The SSR-GSX31-04 and SSR-GLX39-04 deliver full-function, hardware-based Layer 2, 3 and 4 switching and routing, eliminating the performance bottlenecks cause by a single processor. They also support the Access Control Lists, Network Address Translation, Jumbo Frames and Server Load Balancing essential for large enterprise networks. Industry-leading traffic control features extend Quality of Service end-to-end, and enable wire-speed performance even when Quality of Service and security features are enabled. The SSR-GSX31-04 is a Gigabit Ethernet module that provides rich features that enable network administrators to easily expand their networks without replacing their existing equipment.
