Designed specifically for the SmartSwitch 9000 14-slot chassis, Enterasys intelligent AC power supply module delivers 2000 watts of power, double that of first-generation power supplies. This enables the 9C214-3 to ensure optimum system power, regardless of the system configuration. When two power supplies are installed for redundancy, the system uses a current sharing scheme where, under all load conditions, each supply provides power equally, increasing the life of each power supply.
