The 9E133-36 is a single-module solution for SmartSwitch 9000 designed to provide desktop connectivity to multiple Ethernet networks on a single module. The 802.3 compliant board features three seperately repeated, 12-port Ethernet MicroLAN segments which attach to the network via three 50-pin telco (RJ71) connectors. All segments interconnect across the hub's Flexible Network Bus, a dual FDDI backplane, via an intel i9060 RISC-based processor capable of supporting bridging, routing or SecureFast Packet Switching. Connection to the SmartSwitch 9000 backplane can be configured for FNB-1 or FNB-2.
