The FDDI SmartSwitch module provides 12 master ports for connection. The 9F122-12 attaches directly SmartSwitch 9000 chassis' Flexible Network Bus, delivering up to 400 Mbs of data bandwidth. the 9F122-12 is fully ANSI FDDI compliant, supporting the SMT, MAC, PHY and PMD standards. The module utilizes a powerful Intel i960 RISC-based processor for all SMT and local/remaote SNMP management functions.
