MultiStack

The Digital MultiStack System unit uses any DEChub 90 module: Ethernet repeater hub, DECserver 90-series*, bridge, router, wireless bridge or RMON in a stackable Ethernet LAN configuration. Up to 16 devices can be connected in a single physical stack, a distributed stack, or in a rack or cabinet configuration.

The Digital MultiStack System stacking unit (DETRX-S*) includes the following components:

• Stackable backplane, including (2) RJ45 connectors to enable SNMP management and a 5/12 V power connection
• Stackable shelf 2.5 inches high, enables the physical stacking of stackable hibs, houeses the 5/12 V power supply and also provides a cable management harness
• 5/12 V autosensing power supply (H7265-AA or H7265-AAG) will allocate the appropriate power to each respective 90-series modules - hub-based or standalone - work as a stackable hub, but must use the power supply accompanying the stacking unit

*DECserver 90M+ will operate in standalone mode only.
